The Texas Women Anglers Tournament is a women's only fishing tournament in Port Aransas, Texas benefiting The Purple Door; Formerly The Women's Shelter of South Texas.

The Texas Women Anglers Tournament is a qualifying tournament for the Offshore World Championship.

At this years tournament each boat can choose its own theme. The theme is completely up to you. As always, we will give awards for best dressed boat & best dressed captain. Our judges can't wait to see what you come up with!

Tournament History

The Texas Women Anglers Tournament, also known as TWAT, is a women only, family-run fishing tournament held every summer in Port Aransas, Texas. It was founded in the 1980's with the mission to raise funds for the Women's Shelter of South Texas.

The Purple Door is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in Corpus Christi, Texas. Their agency provides FREE services to victims and survivors of family violence and sexual assault throughout a 12-county region of South Texas.
